Agent prompt
Use this skill
Copy this prompt into your coding agent to make it enable browser-harness domain skills and read this exact domain folder before automating.
Set up https://github.com/browser-use/browser-harness for me if it is not already installed. If setup is needed, read `install.md` first to install and connect it to my real browser. Then read `SKILL.md` for normal usage and always read `helpers.py` because that is where the browser-harness functions are. Enable domain skills if they are not already enabled by setting `BH_DOMAIN_SKILLS=1` for browser-harness. Use the `claude` domain skill from `agent-workspace/domain-skills/claude/`. Read every markdown file for this domain before inventing an approach: - agent-workspace/domain-skills/claude/custom-connectors.md - agent-workspace/domain-skills/claude/skills.md Use those domain-skill notes to complete my task for `claude` in my real browser. When you open a setup, verification, or task tab, activate it so I can see the active browser tab.

Claude custom web connectors

- Organization connectors are managed at https://claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors. Check the organization selector before changing settings.
- Personal /settings/connectors may redirect to a settings modal that says connectors have moved to Customize. This is not the organization connector administration page.

- Add → Custom is a submenu. Hover the Custom row to expose Web and Desktop, then choose Web for an HTTPS MCP server.

Organization registration
Adding an organization connector requires an Owner account on a Team or Enterprise plan. Other members authorize available connectors individually.
- Add → Custom is a submenu. Hover the Custom row to expose Web and Desktop, then choose Web for an HTTPS MCP server.
- The custom connector dialog has two steps. First enter the name and MCP URL. Continuing probes the server, protected-resource metadata, and authorization provider. Wait for these probes before expecting the second step.
- An unauthenticated MCP 401 followed by metadata 200 is normal for an OAuth server. It does not mean registration failed.
- The second step separates authentication mode from OAuth client registration. For a server that requires OAuth and a pre-registered confidential client, choose Sign in now and Use your own OAuth client. Supply the registered client ID and required secret.
- Adding the connector opens its details dialog and shows a success toast. Verify persistence in the organization connector table after reloading; a personal Connect button is a separate, per-user authorization step.
- Names are sorted and the table is paginated. Use the search box to verify a new connector instead of assuming the first page will contain it.
Secrets and access
- The OAuth secret field is a password input. Retrieve a secret through an authorized local secret-store command and pass it to
type_textin memory; do not print it or include it in a shared domain skill. - Organization visibility and the MCP server's data authorization are independent. Registration does not grant users access at the server. Preserve the intended server-side allowlist.
Claude: replace an uploaded skill and verify the saved version

Discover the ID from the current page rather than retaining an old ID indefinitely. - Claude Desktop's Chat and Cowork mode exposes uploaded account skills. Code mode can instead show project/local skills under an “In this project” heading. An absent uploaded skill in that view does not establish that the upload is missing.
- Update the existing named skill. The row/detail overflow menu has Replace; Add can create a duplicate.
Replacement
- Open the existing skill and record the current name and version.
- Choose Replace from its overflow menu.
- The replacement page has one
input[type=file], accepting.zip,.skill, and.md. Use a complete archive when the skill has references or scripts. With the harness,upload_file('input[type=file]', absolute_archive_path)works after verifying the current form. - Check the preview's name and description, then save. The security scan runs on save. Wait for the saved Contents page and inspect any error instead of assuming the upload finished.
- Reload and reopen Contents before declaring success. The UI can continue displaying an older version after a successful replacement, including in a separately running Desktop client.
Screenshot after navigation and actions. Content can reflow after reload, so locate the current buttons again rather than reusing coordinates from an earlier layout.
Readback that proves the update
The Contents page provides a version selector such as Name vN · current, a file count, a file tree, and a download button. Verify:
- The new version is marked current.
- The actual changed instruction and any newly added reference are present.
- The downloaded saved files match the intended local source.
The saved-version download may be a plugin archive, even when the input was a single-skill archive. The observed saved layout contains .claude-plugin/plugin.json and skills/<skill-name>/.... Compare file bytes by relative path under that skill directory; comparing the two entire zip files would fail because the packaging differs. Use the observed archive member list rather than assuming this layout can never change.
Browser-triggered downloads emit Browser.downloadWillBegin and Browser.downloadProgress when CDP download events are enabled. The suggested filename can contain spaces. A completed event and a readable saved archive are stronger evidence than clicking the download icon alone. Restore temporary download-behavior overrides after readback.
When Desktop verification matters, refresh the Chat and Cowork skill view and inspect the changed Contents there too. A legacy on-disk cache can remain older than the current named plugin, so its contents alone do not identify the active uploaded version.
Successful upload and readback establish the stored instructions. They do not establish that an already-running conversation has reloaded them, that a fresh Cowork task has executed them, or that their behavioral results improved.
Verified against the current UI in September 2026. No account IDs, session tokens, or user skill contents are needed for this procedure.
